Vision, Mission and Philosophy

Vision

Within 20 years of commencement Shikshya Foundation Nepal will have a critical mass of leaders instrumental in turning the Nepali society into one which is just, equitable, secular, accountable, thinking, questioning, progressive and prosperous.

Mission

Provide the best possible education to 300 underprivileged children within 10 years of the start of this Foundation.

Philosophy

Shikshya Foundation Nepal seeks to oversee and facilitate the education of children in need from primary school through secondary school and higher education. Through partnerships with like minded schools and organizations throughout Nepal, we have been able to work closely with children on an individual and personal level. Our hope is to enrich the lives of Nepalese youth by providing them with holistic growth as well as financial, social and emotional support.

Goals

  • To provide the best possible education to 300 underprivileged children within 10 years of the start of the Foundation.
  • Facilitate the opening of libraries and reading centers all over Nepal.
  • Facilitate the development of mentoring and counseling centers to aid the holistic development of children being supported.

Primary activities

The Foundation relies on a diverse international network in order to deliver donations directly to the SFN partners of the donor’s choosing. We act as a medium to connect trailblazers within the education system to organizations and schools striving to make a difference in Nepal. By facilitating these precious relationships we hope to establish a symbiotic relationship between the donors and their recipients. One where the children will thrive academically as a result of support from donors. In turn, the donors will see their efforts realized as the beneficiaries grow academically, professionally and develop character.
